Migrant kids, was formed by two cousins Miguel Ojeda and John Zakoor, are no exception. The cousins have been playing music together for fifteen years and moved to Austin, TX by way of Detroit, MI to join forces with the talented Bryan O'Flynn, another midwestern native from Cincinnati, OH.
Migrant Kids were named Best New Band by the Austin Chronicle, Band of the Month from The Austin Music Foundation, and they are currently up for a Black Fret grant. All Things Go has categorized Migrant Kids' music "in that sweet spot between rock and pop...with simmering post-rock riffs and a pounding backbeat[s]."
