Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Houston Arts Alliance, 3201 Allen Parkway, Suite 250.

Houston Arts Alliance (HAA) is pleased to announce the next steps in the implementation of Houston’s Arts + Cultural Plan. HAA has been working closely with the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs (MOCA) and cultural planning expert, Margie Johnson Reese of MJR Partners, to create grants services that are more flexible and responsive to your needs.

Your ideas and recommendations in this phase are critical to Advancing Houston’s Arts + Cultural Plan.

Please join HAA grants staff, artists, arts leaders, other grantees, and consultant, Margie Johnson Reese of MJR Partners for a series of conversations.

The purpose of these meetings is three-fold:
- To learn about the challenges and opportunities that you experience in accessing HAA’s grant programs
- To hear your ideas for broadening HAA’s programs and services for artists, arts education providers, arts organizations, and non-arts organizations providing arts programing.
- To ask your advice on how best to reach a broader and more diverse cross-section of our community using the arts as a catalyst for collaboration and cultural exchange.

We recognize that there have been many conversations over the past two years about local support for the arts and artists in Houston. Our goal is to ensure that Advancing Houston’s Arts + Cultural Plan is launched in 2017 with practical measures and actions for success.

For more immediate information regarding HAA or the purpose of these important meetings, please do not hesitate to contact HAA at or 713.527.9330.
