Suchu Dance’s newest work imagines the final days of the last remaining people on earth up to their demise.
Five people trapped in the last vestiges of life on earth. Gallows humor. A global catastrophic event. An imaginary place where everything is as bad as it can be.

Suchu Dance
The 2014/15 season marks the Company’s 16th year. Since its founding by Jennifer Wood in 1998, Suchu Dance has commanded attention for its inventiveness, versatility and technical innovation. On the concert stage, in site-specific works, and in theater, Wood’s kinetically rousing dances make fundamental connections and mine the absurdity of human experience. From the smallest gesture to full-action blasts of movement, Suchu Dance will surprise and astonish. At home in Houston Texas, Suchu Dance is the resident company at its eponymous space. On tour, Wood’s work has been performed in Austin, Atlanta, Las Vegas, San Diego and at the historic Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival.
