ART CARS! ART! MUSIC! MARSHMALLOW SHOOTING GALLERY!
The Houston Art Car Klub (HACK) is throwing a fundraiser for our dear friend Eve who got cancer - again! Not only is Eve Maulsby a vivacious, warm, hilarious, fabulous member of HACK and maker of the Sock Monkey Mobile (and other art cars), she's been an artist her entire life - from way back in the days of HSPVA, and drawing caricatures at Astroworld, to having had a gallery in the Village and been a sign maker, designer and artist all around town. Eve is undeniably awesome; cancer is stupid and expensive... so we're raising funds to help defray those costs.
There will be a silent auction, live music from Iron Skillet, Tunes spinned by: Meniere, a kissing booth, a photo booth, and more marshmallows than you can eat or shoot. Bring your dollars$$. Bring your friends. Bring your cancer-killing potions and your kitty ears, clown noses, roller skates... Bring whatever means a good ole time to you. Except it's a bar, so we'll have that part covered. Plus there'll be a food truck. And, St. Arnold's will be there to show the artists some love. Representatives from the Orange Show will be on hand for the PPPPP (Pre-Parade Packet Pick-up Party). Get your packet and all the critical info about Art Car Weekend while you support a local artist and local establishment along with your beloved community!
(There will also be art car weekend t-shirts available from previous years so you can finally complete your collection.)
