Olga Hepnarova was a young, lonely lesbian outsider from a coldhearted family who couldn’t play the part society desired of her. Her paranoid self-examination and inability to connect with other people eventually drove her over the edge of humanity when she was only twenty-two years old.

As a young Czechoslovakian woman, like many young adults Olga feels like an outsider. But at the age of twenty-two, her paranoia, anxiety, and self-isolation pushes her to do the unthinkable. Based on the true story of Olga Hepnarova, the last woman executed in Czechoslovakia, this film borrows from her personal journal in order to shed light on her choice to run over a crowd of pedestrians in Prague in the year 1973. In a world where the threat of terrorism has come to be the new normal, I, OLGA gives psychological and personal insight into the mind of a killer.
