Halloween At Julep: Shipwrecked!

Julep says
All Southern port cities have their share of ghost stories—pirates, shipwrecks, Civil War-era apparitions. Julep celebrates these port cities in its fall menu, Cocktails of the Saltwater South, and this Halloween, it will celebrate their ghosts, too.

The main event takes place Halloween night. A costume contest will commence 10pm -midnight, with a $1,000 prize for the best costume--based on creativity, presentation, incorporating theme--chosen by judges John Letoto of Blacksmith, Fluff Bake Bar’s Rebecca Masson and Janiz Frago of Terroir Selections. Contestants "walk the plank" to present their costumes to the judges and extra points are awarded for applause by the audience. Individuals, couples and groups can enter, and all will be judged by the same criteria. Please email info@julephouston.com to secure your entry or any other questions.
Radio personality Frank Bullington will emcee the festivities, DJ Willie Whop will provide the tunes, and a photo booth will be onsite to commemorate the festivities. Door prizes will be given every hour 6pm to midnight.

Julep itself will be transformed for the occasion. Owner, Alba Huerta will create a historic shipwreck scene on Julep’s patio, and the carport will become a boat deck, complete with lifeboats.

We support fine drinking on all nights and Halloween is no exception. A nod to centuries-old bottles of champagne that have been resurrected from shipwrecks, Julep is offering a selection of grower champagne by the glass on Halloween night in addition to it's themed COCKTAIL MENU!

A suggested donation of $5 at the door will benefit the Arthritis Foundation.
