The 2nd Annual HBAA Chili and Pie Cook-off will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 1-5 PM at the Bayou City Events Center Pavilion which is located off Knight Road near the NRG Stadium. Doors to the event open at 1:00pm with teams permitted to arrive and unload at noon. This event is family friendly, will feature a silent auction, and The Easy Money Band will perform. To enter a chili cook-off team it is $500 and includes 5 members per team. To enter into the pie cook-off competition it is $50 and includes one admission ticket for the baker.

Come out and enjoy as teams compete for the best chili or pie in the Houston Legal Community. Law Firms, legal departments, legal organizations, and students, are all welcome to come out to this great event benefiting HBAA's student scholarship fund. The event is hosted by the Houston Bar Association Auxiliary in partnership with Houston Young Lawyers Association and Houston Bar Association.

Teams will compete for the following awards: Best Chili, Best Pie, Best Decorated Booth, and People's Choice. All of the chili awards will be judged by sitting Judges from area counties and municipalities. The pie entries are judged by an award winning food blogger and local sitting Judge.

$25.00 Admission Fee (Children 12 and under free)
Doors open at 1:00pm unless accompanying a Cook-Off Team

Teams (Law Firms, Legal Departments, Legal Organizations, Students, Law Schools, Anyone)
$500.00 per team entry/5 members per team
8x8 area with a table and 5 chairs
Please specify if you need electricity or if you will bring propane

Pies (anyone)
$50.00 per pie entry (can include up to 2 of the same pie for larger distribution)
Preference would be that the pie comes in a covered container that can later be removed.
Pie entry fee includes one entrance admission for the baker of the entered pie.

The Houston Bar Association Auxiliary ("HBAA") is an organization comprised of significant others and spouses of attorneys. HBAA is dedicated to promoting a better understanding and relationship between the general public and the legal profession through community service projects and social events.
