Houston City Council Public Comment says
Houston City Council will have public comment opportunities on the following days:

Tuesday, 1/10/17, 1:30PM
Wednesday, 1/18/17, 9:30AM
Tuesday, 1/24/17, 1:30PM
Tuesday, 1/31/17, 1:30PM
Tuesday, 2/7/17, 1:30PM
Tuesday, 2/14/17, 1:30PM
Tuesday, 2/21/17, 1:30PM
Tuesday, 2/28/17, 1:30PM

These are opportunities to address the Mayor and City Council on any subject. I do not know of any activist groups planning on speaking on these dates but I am putting it out there.

If you plan to speak, you have to schedule ahead and notify the City Secretary of your information (i.e. name, subject, address, phone number). You can call them at 832.393.1100 or email at citysecretary (at) houstontx (dot) gov.

Parking can be crazy but I recommend researching where to park ahead of time.

You will need a Driver's License or state-issued ID to enter. I was not aware of this the first time but it was a cause of trouble the last time. The area is on the second floor. You will have to go through a metal detector.

I would like to address the issue of the city's water. There is radiation and harmful chemicals in the water supply that everyone in the city uses. Others can speak about the charitable feeding ordinance. Others can speak of special interests influencing city government. The opportunities are endless. I would like to work with other concerned citizens on what needs to be changed. We need to work together because no one else will fight our fight. If we fight each other, we will achieve nothing.
