Hugo Family Cellars Wine Dinner says
Chef Kevin Naderi will host winemaker Pam Hugo of Hugo Family Cellars for a special five-course wine dinner at Roost on Thursday, February 16. The 2012 "Innovare" Grenache Blanc, which was a small production of only 50 cases and is no longer available for sale to the general public, will be featured in this dinner. The dinner is limited to just 18 people; call the restaurant at 713-523-7667 to reserve and pay for your ticket. Tickets are $130/person; $250/pair inclusive of tax and gratuity. Tickets purchased in pairs will include one bottle of your favorite wine from dinner.

First course: Charred octopus salad with pickled Vietnamese vegetables, passion fruit vinaigrette and crushed Marcona almonds

Second course: Acorn squash bisque with goat cheese flan, candied quinoa and herbs

Third course: Seared Gulf catch fish with English pea risotto, saffron stock and salt cod crepinette

Fourth course: Braised beef short rib with apples, fresh horseradish, barely cooked spinach and braised beef jus
Wine pairing: 2010 Hugo "Misceo" Grenache/Syrah

Fifth Course: Balsamic panna cotta with homemade strawberry milk, black pepper scone croutons and baby basil
