I <3 Consent Week 2016 says
Begun in 2008 and formerly known as "Consent Is Sexy Week," I <3 Consent Week at Rice emphasizes the importance of giving and receiving consent in sexual encounters. The Rice Women's Resource Center will have fun and educational events throughout the week to get our campus thinking and talking about consent, sex positivity, and healthy relationships. We invite you to join us for a full week of raising awareness and participating in discussions! As usual, everyone is invited, and tell your friends!


Monday October 24
Body Positive Collage Party at 9pm in the RWRC across from Coffeehouse

Come to the RWRC office in the RMC to make some beautiful body positive artwork, eat some Torchy's chips and dips, or just to chat! Also, pick up a body positive sticker for your laptop or waterbottle (¡limited edition while supplies last!)

Tuesday October 25
Project Safe Bystander Intervention Workshop from 7:30-9 pm in the Wellness Center classroom (by the rec)

Learn about ways to intervene to prevent sexual violence and help friends and strangers. This workshop will be facilitated by staff from the Houston Area Women's Center and the Rice Student Wellbeing Office.

Wednesday October 26
What Nobody Ever Told You About Sex at 8pm in Willy's Pub

Come ask all your sex-related questions to a panel of sexperts, composed of Rice students and sexual health professionals. Raising Canes will be provided!!

Thursday October 27
Erotica Reading at 9pm in the RWRC across from Coffeehouse

This sex-positive reading and gathering will be a place where everyone can come and listen to some inclusive and arousing literature! This event was inspired by an erotica reading held by the QRC! You can check out the QRC at queer.rice.edu


Friday October 29
Breathing Room Tent at NOD

Breathing Room tent in the Wiess quad during NOD. This will be a space where partygoers can take a break without having to leave for the night. All public parties can be overwhelming at times, and NOD is no exception. Come to escape loud music/uncomfortable situations, get support from a volunteer, or just hang out and chat!
