Interfaith Iftar At Maryam Islamic Center says
Every year, Muslims across the world celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. In this month, Muslims observe fast for the entire month. Fasting is to abstain from food and water from dawn until sunset. It is is a way to humble ourselves before our creator. It helps us to build strong morals and character. It is a way to feel the pain of less fortunate and to be appreciative and grateful for the bounties that God has bestowed upon us. The month of Ramadan also teaches us to strengthen our relationship with our friends, colleagues and neighbors.
In this regard, we would like to cordially invite you to join us for Iftar meal and dinner and learn about the month of Ramadan and fasting. We would be honored if you and your family would join us for this event. You are welcomed to bring anyone along.
