Since 2003, VBB and our Board have honored artists and activists who reflect our organization's passionate commitment to speaking out and inciting social change through art. To celebrate fifteen years of VBB breaking boundaries and making history in Houston, we are honoring five Houston-based artists whose careers push artistic boundaries and whose voices challenge borderlines by documenting stories that refuse to be erased.
On Saturday, August 22, 2015, VBB will hold our annual La Valiente fundraiser to commemorate these artists and our 15th year in Houston. The evening will include small bites from local eateries + libations including Houston Dairymaids, Deep Eddy Vodka, La Mexicana, Saint Arnold Brewery, ; performances; and great conversation!
Support VBB by helping us to reach our goal of raising $20,000+ so we may continue our unique yet integral offering of productions, workshops, interactive websites, and art catalogues that unearth artistic connections between social justice issues faced by residents living in Houston and international communities.
