Texas Art Asylum says
A Memory Jug is a folk art craft that preserves memorabilia and found objects in jugs and vessels. You can make your Memory Jug with an intention to memorialize a person, a time in your life or have your own theme with your own symbols and beautiful collected items.

Memory Jugs trace their history to the 19th century and were created to memorialize people or events. The outside of these jugs were encrusted with jewels and objects that identified the person.

Total instruction time for this workshop is 12 hours -- one full day and one half day. If not complete during class time, you will receive instruction and support to complete the craft on your own. Diana will be available after the workshop via email should you need guidance. Her personal experience is that the jugs can be completed on your own successfully.

Fees: $250, all inclusive. You are encouraged to bring any special materials that fit your personal theme.
