Historic Market Square Houston says
VENUE CHANGE- due to forecasted inclement weather, the venue has changed. This show will now be held indoors right across the street from the park at Henke & Pillot (809 Congress).

Musiqa presents a free performance of Michael Gordon's epic percussion work Timber at Market Square Park on Friday, June 3.

Founded in 2002 and led by four composers, the mission of Musiqa is to enrich and inspire the community through programs that integrate contemporary music with other modern art forms. Following on the success of its previous performances at Market Square Park in 2013 & 2014, Musiqa will once again astound the audience with unique instrumentations bringing the park to life.

This free outdoor concert features six of Texas' most accomplished percussionists — Brandon Bell, Craig Hauschildt, Luke Hubley, Jamey Kollar, Matt McClung, and Neil Sisauyhoat.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. Outside alcohol is not allowed to be brought into the park; however, beer and wine are sold at the Niko Niko's on-site along with delicious Greek and American food. The Historic Market Square neighborhood is home to a variety of other restaurants that also provide take-out food service.

Parking/Transportation:
-FREE on-street parking after 6 pm.
-Houston B-Cycle station located at the park.
-Visit downtownhoustonparking.org for an interactive map which shows all garages, surface lots and on-street parking available in the area.
