Houston Center for Photography says
Coming up on July 22, HCP, in partnership with Slideluck -- a New York-based non-profit dedicated to building and strengthening community through food and art -- is hosting the first ever SLIDELUCK Houston, an amazing evening of food, beer, and photography at Cottonwood Houston. SLIDELUCK is an opportunity for photographers to submit their work, photographic or video, to be shown during the event. Free to attend, SLIDELUCK Houston encourages the public to bring a dish to share - think of it as a potluck! Complimentary beverages from Brooklyn Brewery will be available to HCP members and participating artists as well as anyone who brings a dish.

The theme for SLIDELUCK Houston is "Cruel Summer" ....yes, we're referring to that awesome '80s song by Bananarama. Deadline for submissions is Friday, June 26th and you may submit 15-40 images or video pieces.

FOR ANYONE ATTENDING UNDER THE AGE OF 21: Cottonwood is a family friendly bar, but anyone who comes to the event under the age of 21 must be inside the bar before 9pm. Also the slide show does contain some images of violence and nudity.
