Miller Outdoor Theatre says
WindSync's Something About a Rose is a modern take on classical storytelling traditions featuring music inspired by William Shakespeare, the rich storytelling history of country music, and a fresh take on storytelling through dance. Comprised of five virtuoso wind players, WindSync performs exclusively from memory, giving the musicians freedom to interact with the audience, make eye contact, and dramatically incorporate elements of costume and choreography.

Highlights include a creative parody of Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story with a collaborative performance performed by Vitacca Dance Project, choreographed by Artistic Director, Kelly Ann Vitacca, as well as a collaborative performance of Igor Stravinsky’s Pulcinella danced and choreographed by dancers from Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA). All musical arrangements are WindSync originals.
