I love spring time! I get to feel the warmth of the sun, smell the fresh air, see the green grass grow and the bright beautiful flowers bloom, hear the rain, and taste the delicious and fresh local fruits and veggies from my co-op and/or local farmers market. All my senses are heightened and I’m able to feel a renewed sense of joy and a deeper gratitude for living.
Joy is for everyone and dancing is joy in motion. Dedicate this season to showing up to dance every week knowing when you enter that you belong. Smile and make eye contact with your fellow dancers and allow yourself to accept an invitation to dance with another or invite someone to dance with you. Smiles are infectious and “seeing” one another makes us feel present
and valued.
Question:
What renews your joy during your dance? My joy is renewed when I see a fellow dancer’s bright smile, or when I’m skipping around, rolling on the floor and playing like a kid again!
This week, I invite you to… dance like no one is watching. Let go of doubt, criticisms, and judgments and allow your inner child to come out and dance joy filled and fearless. Give thanks for showing up and taking time for yourself. Embrace peace and compassion into your dance so that you may more fully experience the joy that resides within you.
May Joy become the mantra for your life!
