Holding Space Dance Collective says
"The Burning Times" takes the audience back 200 years to the European witch hunts, a time when hundreds of innocent people were tried, and most often convicted, as witches. In this evening length performance encompassing dance, theater and fire performance, follow the plight of one of these innocents as she is betrayed by her friends and neighbors and ultimately meets her fate as an accused witch. What will her fate be? Will she be one of the few who escape torture and death or will she be one of the hundreds who lost their lives through false allegations, fanaticism, false notions?

The performance happens both in the theater and outside on the patio as we follow the accused from the village to the trial grounds. Performances will happen rain or shine, but please bring a jacket if it is cold.

We hope you can join us for this special performance, and be there to serve as a witness to how the power of fear and fanaticism fuels ordinary people's willingness to demonize others.

Performances are October 16, 17, 23, & 24 at 8:00. Tickets are $15/door, $12/pre-sale, $10/students, children, and seniors.
