Two of Chicago's most highly regarded Second City veterans, TJ Jagodowski and Dave Pasquesi, are bringing their brand of long-form improvisational theater to Houston audiences for a one-night only engagement at the brand new Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston (MATCH) November 6, 2015. TJ and Dave rarely perform outside Chicago and New York—which are always in high demand and regularly sell out. This is their first time performing in Houston.

With no discussion, no pre-planning, TJ and Dave create rich characters, dialog and plots in the moment. Making it up step by step leaving audiences spellbound for the hour-long performance.

“TJ & Dave is a first-rate show. They are world-class improvisers,” said Jeromy Barber, Artistic Director at BETA Theater and co-producer of the Houston Improv Festival.

“Houston needs this A-list introduction to improvised theater, and we are very lucky to be hosting them. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

“One of these guys is the best improviser in the world. And the other one is better.” – Stephen Colbert

“TJ Jagodowski and Dave Pasquesi, two of the world’s finest practitioners in the art of long-form improv, create an hour-long one-act play. They’re both great actors and have amazing improv chops, but it’s always hard to notice these kinds of things when you’re peeing your pants laughing.” – Time Out Chicago

The New York Times says the duo have, "A playful verbal wit, stubborn refusal to go for the cheap laugh and most of all, an empathetic streak that gives their comedy a resonance and depth."

Individual tickets to the show will be available beginning October 11, 2015, for $25 (early bird pricing through October 23) to $35 through the MATCH Box Office at (713) 521-4533. Visit for information and to buy tickets online.
This special engagement is a joint production of Houston’s BETA Theater, Comedy Collective Houston, and the Houston Improv Festival.

Houston audiences will recognize the duo from their memorable national acting credits. Jagodowski has starred as one of the "Two Guys" for the Sonic Drive-In commercials since 2004. Additionally he appeared in the television drama “Prison Break”, and on the big screen in the movies, “Stranger Than Fiction”, “The Ice Harvest”, “No Sleep Till Madison”, and “Get Hard”. Dave Pasquesi has performed in both film and TV. Some of his movie credit include “Angels and Demons”, “The Fugitive”, “Groundhog Day”, and “Father of the Bride.” His TV credits include appearances in shows such as “Boss”, “According to Jim”, “Veep”, and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
