Wnbr H Town 2017: The Full Moon says
This will be the seventh year of World Naked Bike Ride in Petropolis!

Since we've rescheduled this ride for the 17th, when the moon will be not-so-full, we'll probably be changing the theme. However...

We're going to give a Full Moon to Car Culture, fossil fuel extractivists, and the very idea that certain parts of you are not to be seen.

Even if you don't ride, there are several ways you can participate!

The route and other details are yet to be determined. If you miss the Big Ride, there will be a Victory Lap a few weeks later.

The ride is as much a protest FOR certain things as AGAINST others. The usual justifications apply:
1. Cycling is better for people and the planet than motoring.
2. However, in Car Culture, cyclists are vulnerable (hence the symbolic nudity).
3. Nudity is fun & healthy. It's our gymnophobic* society that's sick.

Fearful of encounters with law enforcement? The dress code is BARE AS YOU DARE! But if you're not at least down to barely legal, what's the point?

* gymnophobic = fearful of nudity

The cover photo of the mass mooning of Trump Tower, Chicago, was taken by John Shippee.
