In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Anya Tish Gallery, we are delighted to present XX Part 2, the second of two group exhibitions of work by regional and international artists from the gallery roster. The artwork on view will span the last few decades as well as a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, video, drawing, and photography.

Among other works to be on view, Katja Loher breaks her video out of it’s crisp microcosm, projecting the kaleidoscopic composition straight onto the floor, while Neva Mikulicz embeds vintage video and sound into drawings made of thousands of tiny graphite marks to create voyeuristic scenes of modern American life. Eduardo Portillo and Arpad Forgo, each with impeccable craftsmanship and a deft ability to manipulate materials, will present new and recent works of shaped canvas. A monolithic depiction of an abandoned steel blast furnace, painted by Nadezda Prvulovic during a stay in France in the early 1980s, will also be on view, as well as a new narrative amalgam of painting and collage by JooYoung Choi. Especially for this exhibition, William Cannings has created a large-scale pearlescent "XX", sculpted from inflated steel and evocative of weightless plastic.

XX Part 2 will also feature works by Pawel Dutkiewicz, Daniela Edburg, Garland Fielder, Vadim Gushchin, Dmitri Koustov, Mohammed Shammarey, Charlotte Smith, Lillian Warren, and Natalia Wiernik.
