World Affairs Council of Greater Houston says
Charles Goslin is a retired CIA operations officer who served throughout the world in a wide range of capacities that bridged both covert technical and human intelligence operations. During his many years in the CIA, he served in the Middle East, India, Africa, Latin America and Europe with personal experience in crisis management and evacuation of facilities and personnel on numerous occasions. Goslin will reflect upon his time serving the nation and the current state of U.S. intelligence gathering efforts.

Goslin will also discuss his new book Understanding Personal Security and Risk: A Guide for Business Travelers. He will give insight into how anyone can travel more safely and make fast, smart judgements in high-risk environments. Goslin will also advise on the 'front end of the security'. He will explain how to be proactive in learning to analyze different threats and how to have a basic plan and increased awareness before heading into potentially dangerous regions of the world.

Charles Goslin is currently a Senior Operations Advisor who draws on 30+ years of experience in international security, intelligence, foreign affairs and business in both the public and private sectors. As a result, his insight into complex security problems involving requiring technology, physical and personnel security measures is sharply analytical and effective. He has hands-on experience assessing threat, risk and technical security requirements for high-threat facilities, and directing integration teams installing and activating these systems. Goslin has authored and published numerous white papers on the security threat and business risk issues. He lectures regularly on terrorist radicalization and the threat of jihadist groups to Europe and the U.S. Goslin's expertise has been solicited by national media, both broadcast and print.
