Time Out says

This historic spot on the famous Rothschild Blvd is the location where the Israeli Declaration of Independence was signed.

Step back in history to May 14th, 1948 to the day that the state of Israel was founded. This facility, relatively unchanged from the day that it was formed, offers all visitors the ability to feel as if they were in the room with David Ben-Gurion when he established the state of Israel. Walking into the main hall of the building, the original portrait of Theodore Herzl still hangs alongside the original rendition of the current Israeli flag. Independence hall is the perfect place to pop in for a quick visit and history lesson in between Rothschild café hopping.
