H&M isn’t the only fast-fashion retailer with limited edition designer collaborations. Israel’s very own big box retailer, Castro, has teamed up with Gideon Oberson for a swimwear assortment to help you suit up in style.

Born in Italy, trained in Paris, and now based in Israel, Oberson is one of the country’s leading fashion designers and is considered by many to be the Middle East’s king of luxury swimwear (he was the chief designer at Gottex from 2002 to 2009). In between teaching fashion design at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design he teamed-up with Castro for his range of swimwear for women, which includes both full body and bikini styles. The collection, which just hit Castro retail stores and their website this month, marks the third collaboration between the two.

For this season Oberson was inspired by Italy's beaches, style, and feel in the sixties. "The inspiration came from an exhibition I saw in Italy about vintage Fiat cars,” says Oberson. “The exhibition lead me to a nostalgic fantasy of a movie star from the sixties -  in a small car, with a small swimsuit, a big hat, and scarf flapping in the wind. The drive starts in the morning in San Remo and continues to Positano, Amalfi, and Sorrento."

The collection is made up of 15 pieces that are separated into two groups: resort and glam pieces, mostly made up of black, red, white, and blue styles accented with floral embroidery or lace, and a second set inspired by graphic elements that reference Op Art – think stripes in black and white, blue and white, or contrasting finishes.

Available in Castro stores across the country and online at castro.com
