On any given day there are dozens of options for events in Tel Aviv including lectures, indie film screenings, interactive talks, dance performances, theater performances, bar nights and other social happenings. If you’re looking to boost your social calendar or simply meet new people in the White City one of the easiest ways is to join a curated list of Facebook groups that regularly post about or host events specifically targeting English speakers. Note that while most events are geared towards 20 and 30 something-year-old young professionals, this isn’t always the case. Here are some options to choose from:

Market Tel Aviv

Every season Market Tel Aviv hosts florists, bakers, painters, photographers, designers and fashion under one roof for Tel Avivians to shop and support local artisans (a bar serving coffee is also on hand to fuel the spending!)

School of Shine

This community for women hosts creative events, talks and workshops aimed at improving women’s day-to-day experience. Recent events include “Coffee, Kegels & Conversation” and clothing swaps.

Oolpan by Citizen Café

Citizen Café is one of Tel Aviv’s popular ulpans and they host monthly social gatherings – open to anyone – where internationals can meet and connect over talks with interesting, forward-thinking individuals. A recent event featured wine, live music and a talk by founder of the PubHub, Doron Maman.

Olim in Tel Aviv

This group is especially useful if you’re focused on building a career in Israel. They regularly host events with themes like “how to start a non-profit,” “interview skills for the Israeli job market” or “branding yourself.”

Brown TLV

The Brown has several hotels in Tel Aviv and they regularly host events in their swanky bars and lounges (including two rooftop bars).

White City Shabbat

If you’re looking to connect over challah, wine and Friday night dinner, check out this group which hosts Shabbat dinners at a rotating roster of spaces. Recent Shabbat dinners included one in the Old City with a private tour of the Western Wall Tunnel.

Secret Tel Aviv

Aside from hosting their own events – everything from charity bake sales to winter markets – the group’s community posts about events happening throughout the city. Be prepared for some very opinionated and very cheeky threads between strangers.
