Mobileye was recently acquired by Intel for a whopping $15 billion dollars making it the largest deal ever made in Israeli high-tech. The company is working on developing semi-autonomous and fully autonomous vehicles. As in, cars capable of sensing their environments and navigating without a human driver. 

SCIO

The world’s first portable molecular sensor enables you to scan fruit and find out not only if it’s organic, but all its nutritional info (and even be sure you’re buying the sweetest watermelon!) The Kitchen

When Strauss company won a bid from the Israeli government to develop the first food tech incubator in the county, The Kitchen was born, giving way to a hotbed of fresh ideas. Current food-tech startups range from Flying Spark, a company making insect protein from fruit flies, to BactuSense, a rapid bacteria detection. 

Zebra Medical Vision

This digital healthcare startup claims it has developed an algorithm with the potential to improve breast cancer detection better than radiologists using the best computer aided detection methods for mammography. The algorithm can detect half of the cases currently being missed by radiologists. 

Flytrex

For those who despise the post office, Flytrex makes the first cloud-connected drones powered by advanced technologies that are exceedingly simple to use – meaning you can easily use Flytrex to fly drones for fun or to deliver goods. The drones come with a loading bag for small packages. $649, flytrex.com

ContinUse Biometrics

ContinUse Biometrics is the only integrated, remote, and contactless sensing technology that both authenticates users and monitors their physiological state. In laymen’s terms:  you can measure heartbeat, blood pressure, breathing pace, glucose level, oxygen saturation, and blood-alcohol levels without any contact.

Syqe Medical

Israel’s at the forefront of countless sectors, including legalizing marijuana. Syqe Medical and Teva Pharmaceutical are working to market medical cannabis via an inhaler that allows doctors to prescribe an optimal dose of cannabis to alleviate symptoms but minimize psychoactive effects. 
Medical is to turn cannabis and other similar botanicals into mainstream prescription drugs.

RideOn

RideOn is known for their augmented reality (AR) ski googles, which use a see-through display to project AR graphics and features on snow, so they appear as if they’re floating 15-plus feet in front of you. The company is also developing AR headsets to enhance paintballing, scuba diving, sky diving, sailing, cycling and motorbiking.

FoodLab Capital

After realizing that the food industry would require innovative technology to reduce waste, increase production in sustainable ways and provide viable alternatives to dairy and meat, Foodlab Capital started investing in food tech startups. like Innovopro, a chickpea protein that serves as an alternative for dairy and gluten.

LGBTech

LGBTech connects tech professionals through fun networking events, increasing the visibility of LGBTQ industry leaders and supporting important LGBTQ causes. They just launched the Israel Diversity Standard, a benchmark by which companies in Israel are measured by their inclusiveness to the LGBTQ community.
