Time Out says

Come end of December, Channukah brings us the festival of lights. It also brings us the festival of lights, camera, action!

From December 24-29, the Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival will make its 18th appearance at the Jerusalem Cinematheque-Israel Film Archive. In six short days, the festival embodies all that is Judaism, using documentaries, animation, shorts, avant-garde and internationally acclaimed films as its vehicle. During the festival, over fifty Israeli and international films will cover a wide range of pressing issues and centrals themes in Judaism such as contemporary life in Israel and the Jewish Diaspora, the role of Jewish identity in the State of Israel and the relationships between Judaism and other world religions. There will also be a special sub-theme on the Holocaust. Come be a part of one of Jerusalem's major cultural events this holiday and share in the conversation.
