Tamir Ginz translates Bach to ballet in an ambitious production.

What do you get when you fuze baroque with ballet? An energetic multi-disciplinary production, including 100 musicians, dancers, opera singers, and a live choir. Tamir Ginz is only the second choreographer in the history of international dance to take on this work, and he has accepted the challenge with a certain grace that can be seen in his Kamea Dance Company performers. The musical event of the season hits Israeli stages this November with a choir from the city of Vöpertel and the orchestra of l'arte del mondo from Germany. Ginz enjoyed finding the balance between the importance of Bach’s piece for the Christian world and his own Jewish upbringing. "I am happy that I had the privilege to work on the most challenging piece of my entire career and close a circle with my identity as a Jew and son of Holocaust survivors,” says Ginz.
