Scorching temps got you down? We cooked up some cool ways to beat the sweltering heat
As Tel Aviv’s stifling summer air begins to sizzle, even the most tropical-weather-loving crowds are scared to leave the comfort of their AC. Luckily, this city is packed with sweat-proof activities that’ll cool you down when humidity levels rise.

Get a Cryotherapy Treatment
Forget about burning the cals away. As it turns out, fat cells are more susceptible to cold, and at freezing temperatures, they can be destroyed — permanently. Introducing: Cryotherapy, a human popsicle machine that plummets between -110 and -190 degrees Celsius for three minutes and is said to aid with weight loss and tightening of the skin. Major celebs like Ashley Graham and Mandy Moore are already hooked on the trendy treatment and we’re totally next.

Glide the Afternoon Away
Going from sweating in your shorts to awkwardly trying to balance on the ice doesn’t sound like the most natural transition, but trust us – it’s a fun way to pass a Shabbat afternoon. On the outskirts of Luna Park, you’ll find 500 square meters of ice, just waiting to cool you down. Don’t worry – even if you’re not the strongest skater, iSkate requires you to wear all the protective gear known to mankind – so you can glide in pure peace and legitimately forget everything going on in the outside world beyond the ice.

Sip on a Cold Matcha Latte
Sure, we love us some avocado toast, but it seems like there is also no escaping this trendy super-tea, and why should we? The magic sip acts as an antioxidant, boosts metabolism, detoxifies, nourishes us with fiber, chlorophyll, and vitamins… we can go on and on. So obvi, when we heard that Jusa, the healthy, cold-pressed juices joint, is offering a cold Matcha Latte, we had to check it out. Spoiler: It’s now our favorite summer gulp.

Treat Yo’ self to Legendary Gelato
I scream, you scream, we scream for… gelato! Italy’s ultra creamy frozen dessert (or meal, TBH) is absolute heaven on a hot day, and Otello is definitely the hottest spot in town to #nomnom in joy. The highlight of the parlor? Two chocolate faucets – one milk and one white – that gloriously fill up your cone with pure Italian chocolate.
