Israel’s craft cocktail scene is blossoming, making waves internationally. But soon our small community of passionate baristas and coffee enthusiasts will also emerge from the shadows, taking center stage in their own craft. Now in their 5th rendition in Israel, Barista Jams are shifting perceptions, respecting the barista as a profession. These gatherings bring together the entire coffee community, from seasoned coffee connoisseurs to the coffee curious, who are looking to celebrate and share their passion for coffee in a fun atmosphere.

After the 4th Barista Jam in Haifa last August, the Jam is coming back to Tel Aviv. Thursday, March 22 at 19:00, coffee producers, 3 Brewing and Sharing Tables, are partnering with local specialty coffee roaster Cafelix.

At this event, over 150 people and more than 25 baristas from all over Israel will come together to compete for the chance of becoming the next latte art “king” or “queen”. Three winners receive 400 NIS plus an amazing prize package from the sponsors Milk It- Milk on Tap, Portofino Coffee, and Cafe Joe. And in addition to talented baristas, the free party is also open for everyone who enjoys coffee, food, and having fun.

The masterminds behind the event are Kaie Bird, Uri Katan and Andrey Veitsman, who recently formed the specialty coffee education company, and 3 Brewing, dedicated to bringing coffee education to Israel. They widen the platform for Israel’s growing coffee professionals to showcase their passion and talent.

Get inspired by coffee, meet other coffee lovers, learn about the coffee world, and snap Instagram-worthy photos at the Levinsky branch of Cafelix. Baristas pay NIS 40 to enter the competition, and the event is free for all audiences. For more information visit, https://www.facebook.com/events/1184690691634513
