On the occasion of International Waffle Day, which takes over the world on March 25th, Truck De Luxe has decided to pay homage to the simple-yet-sensational light and fluffy breakfast staple, only this time with a twist. From an old 1964 GMC truck that makes up their kitchen, Truck De Luxe's overly decadent, overly deep fried menu is expanding its waffle options.

Although born in Belgium, the waffle has been adopted by Americans to rival its arch nemesis, the pancake. Truck De Luxe's waffles are the perfect blend of extra-crispy-on-the-outside and oh-so-fluffy-on-the-inside, with a variety of toppings like fried chicken, hamburger, pork, and wilder options like Oreos and bacon. The limited-time menu, which will be available on International Waffle Day and continue for the following week, includes the following:

Fried Chicken Waffle: waffle topped with schnitzel nuggets with Buffalo chicken strips, melted chees, and lime (NIS 43)

Waffle Eggs Benedict (vegetarian): crispy waffle with eggs, Hollandaise sauce, and spinach (NIS 44)

Waffle Burger: waffle made of sweet donut dough, topped with hamburger, cheddar cheese, and bacon (NIS 57)

Sunday Waffle: waffle with American ice cream, chunks of Oreo cookies, and crispy bacon chips (NIS 37)

March 25-29. Kikar Dizengoff, 13 Ben Ami St, Tel Aviv (03-6296363/de-luxe.co.il)

The regular restaurant menu will still be served during these days.
