There is no shortage of fun, festive events in Haifa this month

The diverse, rich city of Haifa is once again hosting the annual Holiday of Holidays festival. The Haifa Municipality and Beit Hagefen are partnering up to honor this tradition - promising even more music, shows, flavors, tours and exhibits for the festival's 25th anniversary.

Throughout the month of December Haifa residents and visitors can soak themselves in culture, cuisine, religion and landscapes.  Just some of the events include concerts in Arabic and French, book launch parties, free language lessons, salsa dance lessons, dance and music shows, and tours including a graffiti tour and open houses tour where people can explore the outside and inside treasures of Haifa.

Every year, visitors from all over the country come to the festival to participate in a colorful celebration of music, poetry, theater, literature, art and more. The aim of the festival is to promote and foster tolerance and mutual respect through culture and art.

This year, Beit Hagefen Center will inaugurate a new space, "The Third Space: A Space for Art and Education". The space is the new wing of the Beit Hagefen Gallery that will offer an experience of combined works of art and activities that focus on acquiring skills for life in a multi-cultural society. This year there will also be exciting new tours, free Arabic lessons, special cultural events, street performances and music.

Enjoy a festive opening event on December 12 with the breakthrough show - "Around the day in eighty worlds": a song, dance and acting performance by the Mot Pour Mot - Marseille group. The show is in Hebrew, Arabic and French. One Thousand and One Nights depicts the Arab and Western culture and everything in between, and is about literary work and its translations.  Produced by the Department of Cultural Studies from the university of Haifa,  Media Noche - The Haifa Salsa community will host a Cuban Salsa party including lessons and dancing accompanied by instructors and dancers. The Oriental Rhymes is a traditional ethnic dance and music show from China. The Graffiti tour is a significant social statement where participants can understand more about the graffiti community, how important it is to create in a public space and how to cope with the tension between forbidden and permitted to continue to exist.
