What started in 2007 as a classic Tel Aviv restaurant next to the Suzanne Dellal Cultural Center in the enchanting Neve Tzedek neighborhood has grown into "House of Dallal," boasting its very own bakery, events garden, as well as two cafés in the city’s Old Villa.

Today, Dallal is a local institution, a meeting place between Europe and the Mediterranean - just a hop, skip and a jump away from the beach - and both the timeless décor and the seasonal menu reflects this very well. It’s one of those perennial fixtures you find in Europe, a place that doesn’t fall prey to passing trends.

Culinary delights all DAY LONG

Dallal offers various menus, and the ambiance changes accordingly. Friday and Saturday mornings are about the Brunch Club, a weekend celebration boasting breads and baked goods straight from the oven of the House of Dellal’s very own bakery. Add to that some classic cocktails alongside bold new concoctions, familiar menu offerings such as eggs benedict and shakshuka, and some inventive specials like Melted Rocamadour Cheese and Palmira Tuscan Biscuit, and you’re in for a treat.

Come here for a power lunch or meeting with friends to enjoy some time-honored yet totally Mediterranean Bistro fare, from Gravadlax Sashimi and Tuna Tartare on Toasted Challah for starters to the classic Steak Frites or Fish Shawarma with Focaccia for mains. And if you opt for a romantic evening date, you can while away the hours and enjoy an elegant dining experience, starting with aperitifs and finishing with scrumptious desserts by Dallal Bakery.

The Land of Milk and Honey

The key word is artisanal. The menus are seasonal, the ingredients are top quality, and everything is either made on the spot or bought from the best and greenest local producers. All the pasta and baked goods are handmade, even the granola. There are absolutely no coloring agents or preservatives involved, and everything else is bought from the likes of George De Buff for top-quality meat, Hirsch Farm for dairy, Ptora Farm for the purest olive oil, and other outstanding producers from the Land of Milk and Honey. The wine list, for example, boasts over 70% Israeli wines, from the best-known to the smallest boutique wineries.

Dallal is the sort of place that doesn’t look to adapt to the city’s changing landscape but is deeply ingrained in it. It is part and parcel of the old Tel Aviv, and that’s just one of its many charms.
