From Thursday to Saturday afternoon, Jacob’s Ladder features a variety of festive workshops and engaging activities in addition to the concerts and jam sessions. The schedule includes but is not limited to a medieval musical parade, open mic sessions, ukulele and blues guitar workshops, yoga, tai chi, an array of dance workshops from Irish and swing, to American folk and traditional medieval dancing, and children’s activities like basket weaving, an interactive puppet show, a soapstone workshop, tye-dye, a circus corner, storytelling, and so on. There will even be a holistic medicine tent, a book swap, and plenty opportunities for swimming in the lake or pool.
The lineup showcases Full Trunk (Middle Eastern blues), Ukus in Fabula (Italian Ukulele trio), Spiritual Seasons (Celtic, Scandinavian, Nordic, and Medieval folk), The Floy Joy Swing Band (swing, blues, and jazz), Shabbat Nariya (musical Kabbalat Shabbat), Forest (spiritual gypsy folk), Bernie Pearl (Mississippi Delta blues), and Tarante Groove Machine (electro global beats) just to name a few.
