Originally a Palestinian Arab Christian community, today Talbiya's residents are esteemed Israeli professionals, academics, diplomats, and government officials. Not just home to these residents, the neighborhood is a vessel containing diverse institutions such as the Van Leer Institute, the Institute of the Israel Psychoanalytic Society, the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research, and the Museum of Islamic Art.
