After weeks of waiting, the Eurovision Song Contest tickets sale will open tonight (Thursday, 28.2). There are nine events: the two semi finals and the finals, and the two general rehearsals for each performance. The sale will be done via the "Kan" channel's website, and judging by past experience, the tickets are expected to be sold out within a few minutes, so prepare yourselves. It is not clear how many tickets will be offered for each show, but "Kan", the producers of the competition, have said that another round of ticket sales will be available in Passover (April). Those who have already managed to purchase tickets yesterday are a limited number of members of fan clubs throughout Europe.

Forty-one countries will participate at the Eurovision competition and 25 countries will compete in the semi-finals that will be held on May 14 and 16. Twenty of them will go for the finals where they will be joined by the five countries that automatically qualify for the finals because they are the main sponsors of the competition (Italy, Britain, Germany, Spain and France) and of course Israel (last year's winner) with singer Kobi Merimi as our contestant. All the performances will be broadcasted on "Kan". For those who can't get a ticket, you will be able to take comfort in a free viewing with thousands of other people at the Euro-village complex that will be built in Jaffa's Charles Clore Park.
