Whether you're a skilled and experienced dancer or you’re brand new to the dance world, everyone is invited to create, express, learn, and heal at this three-day celebration of movement.
Spread across eight beautiful dance studios and open lawn spaces overlooking the Galilee, prepare for a day packed with diverse and exotic workshops in an immense variety of styles. Each focuses on a different movement concept, type of improvisation, world dance style, healing art or mode of expression. The classes range from Nia, clowning, pilates, Shaolin Kung Fu, and Bollywood, to meditative Sufi whirling, movement Midrash study, stomping, belly dance, Systema (Russian martial art), and much, much more that can be found online on the festival’s schedule.
After a full day of experiencing intriguing new styles of movement, sit back and continue your exposure while reveling at indoor and outdoor performances. Enjoy talented Israeli and international artists, from the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and a spiritual musical shabbat, to solo pieces and tribal world musicians.
Meanwhile, for everyone too inspired to sit, the evenings also hold multiple lively dance forums, including improv jams, Afrobeat dance parties, live music concerts, and more. Experience a dance floor filled with dance-lovers with their drive to move freshly ignited.
There will also be creative activities for children, vegan meals, healthy drinks, and body therapy sessions available. The entry ticket includes all workshops, performances, events, and access to a camping area.
This weekend (May 3-5) head up to the International Dance Village on Kibbutz Ga’aton. For all who move in the world, come as you are, as Bodyways connects you to yourself and others through art, healthy living, personal awareness, and creative lifestyle approaches.
