The Meshek Barzilay Delicatessen has vamped up their holiday menu and they’re making it more accessible than ever. From a sweet festive challah roll which includes delectable spreads such as sweet guava jam or savory artichoke aioli to rich and creamy soups like a tofu and beef “kneidlach” and pumpkin soup with mushroom “kubbeh,” Meshek Barzilay’s brain child makes sure to hit all the taste buds. For lighter options the deli is also offering steamed leek pancakes paired with yogurt and a Holiday Salad Quartet.

Inspired by casual and quick dining options à la American grocery haven Whole Foods, the Meshek Barzilay Delicatessen has the entire family in mind, offering family portions for their jubilant main dishes. Their spinach lasagna, flat rice noodles layered with tofu, cashew bechamel sauce, spinach and almond oil is a dinner hit, and other vegan delicacies will include tofu patties, stuffed vegetables, and quiches made with crispy pie dough filled with gooey cashew cheese, decorated with seeds and your choice of leek or spinach.
And of course, the desserts! Tis’ the season for sweetness and the deli includes a gluten-free, vegan cheesecake, as well as a rich chocolate cake in their offerings. Cakes themed for the season made with apples and honey and a “tishrey” holiday mousse comprised of dates and nuts layered with natural berry and guava flavored mousse are also featured on the menu.
