Capture the purity of nature with workshops, lectures and master classes offered as a part of the Planet Arava Nature Photography Festival. Taking place from Oct. 18-20 in the Arava, the rocky terrain and wildlife that inhabit the region can be great sources for stunning photographs which creates the perfect setting for the first festival of its kind.

The Planet Arava Festival already has a goal to make this an annual event for the coming years so it’s inaugural year is sure to impress. Participants will pay an entry fee of 400 NIS but have the possibility of winning prizes through a competition.

The festival will feature a lecture with Israeli nature photographer Yossi Ashbol, who will also act as a judge for the photo competition, on how to photograph wildlife in their natural inhabitants. This is just one lecture of the many lectures, master classes and workshops the experience has to offer.
 

Photographers from all over the world will come together to network, collectively gain further knowledge and skills, and secure the best pictures to submit to the contest taking place within the festival.

With first place taking home € 5,000 and acclaimed judges like Chris Gomersall, whose work has appeared on the BBC and in National Geographic, the competition is sure to be stiff. Other Judges for the competition include Major General Yitzhak Eitan, Roy Glitz, Ron  Mandil, and, Shahar Cohen.
