With last year's super-popular film screenings, which brought hundreds of people to Jaffa every week, the Old Jaffa Development Company decided to renew the series this year with major block busters: "Wonder Woman", "Batman", "Zoolander", and "The Green Mile" are on the line-up.
Every week on Wednesdays there will be an outdoors screening of a movie in the summit garden opposite the magnificent view of the beaches of Tel Aviv. This July, every Wednesday at 20:30, visitors can enjoy an open-air experience and the magical atmosphere of Jaffa.
Wednesday, July 4th: "The Green Mile" 1999
An emotional drama based on Steven King's book, which was nominated for four Oscars. The film takes place between the walls of a southern prison in the United States in the 1930's during the Depression Era. Paul Edgecomb is a warden supervising a problematic department of prisoners on death row, awaiting execution by the electric chair.
Wednesday, July 11th: "Batman" 1989
The first Batman in the series of four Batman films with Michael Keaton. The Joker (Jack Nicholson) loses the skin on his face in a chemical accident, and goes out to take his revenge on Gotham City. His evil army is trying to take on Batman, while Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger) goes out to find Batman and the man behind the mask. Among the mysterious characters you can also find - Prince, who wrote part of the musical score.
Wednesday, July 18: "Wonder Woman" 2017
Wonder Woman, starring the Israeli superstar Gal Gadot is one of the most successful comics films of all time (grossing over $5 billion at the global box office), in which Gal Gadot plays Diana, princess of the Amazons, with a developed sense of justice. Diana grew up on the island of Amazons hidden from the world and educated by her aunt and her mother to be the perfect warrior.
Wednesday, July 25: "Zoolander" 2001
