The acclaimed Alon Segev Gallery will open a solo exhibition for international artist, Joel Morrison, coinciding with the inauguration of the gallery's new location on Hamanoa Street in Tel Aviv.

The Seattle-born artist currently lives and works in Los Angeles and is represented internationally by Almine Rech Gallery and Gagosian Gallery. His iconic works have been exhibited worldwide - from Hong Kong to Amsterdam. Inspired by Minimalism and L.A’s West Coast/Light and Space, as well as by contemporary subculture, fashion, geopolitics and consumerist culture, Morrison's unexpected, yet refined sculptures are objects collected from L.A street culture, ranging from shopping carts and  discarded gas cans to Hermès bracelets and Cartier rings and then transformed into hybrids of high-end desirable and luxurious assemblages. Morrison’s sculptures illustrate with humor, irreverence and a touch of critique, the world of contemporary art and globalization.

Opening: Thursday, August 30th 2018, Closing: Friday, November 2nd 2018
