A festive premiere of "Poetry in Motion" is set to take place in early April, including 10 spoken word and animated pieces as part of a new multi-genres project from the Israeli Poetry Slam and the Incubator Theater.

The project's results are 10 short films that combine animated and spoken poetry. These films have been created over the past year as a collaboration between promising young Jerusalem animators and spoken poetry by prominent poets from the Israeli Poetry Slam group. At the end of the screening there will be a band performance by Isaac DaBom.

In "Poetry in Motion," the animators give spoken word a spectacular visual dimension and, in some cases, additional contextual interpretation. The composition creates a new and larger piece of art.

The animators participating in the project were chosen from submissions of artist who are up to five years post-graduation.

Poetry in Motion. Saturday, April 6, Beit Mazia, Jerusalem, at 21:30.

Tickets: 60-70 NIS. *9066 and on the website
