This Friday head to the Abraham Hostel in support of the upcoming "Slut Walk" (the march will take place on May 31 in Tel Aviv). This is your opportunity to support the march and the important struggle that it symbolizes
The Slut Walk is a movement that began in Canada after a policeman suggested women can avoid sexual assault by not dressing like a “slut.” The statement aroused many reactions, and then protests began to emerge all over the world against rape culture and victim blaming, with an emphasis on the face that nothing is a justification for rape or sexual harassment - neither appearance nor action. No means no.
This Friday, May 3 there will be a social fair at Abraham Hostel with excellent music, homemade hummus and special stands with talented designers, artists, and DJs. The fair is a fundraising event with contribution going to the big march on May 31.
During the fair there will be a lottery with super fun prizes and buying a lottery ticket is a contribution to the protest and the march.
