The George & John Restaurant, located in the Drisco Hotel, will host six special evenings helmed by the most prestigious Israeli chefs of the country's luxury hotels

In recent years, a number of high-end hotels in Israel have become a draw for tourism, offering guests a personalized hospitality experience, with an exclusive number of rooms in conserved buildings and impressive local architecture. In all of this, hotel restaurants have transformed from dining rooms that serve a generic buffet to chef restaurants with special menus showcasing local and European touches.

Chef Uri Jerimias

The George & John restaurant, named after the Drisco Brothers, which was originally established in the historic hotel in 1866, is located in the heart of the hotel's lounge and is decorated with original 1925 murals. It offers a unique experience and a rich breakfast and brunch. In the next two months, the restaurant will pay tribute to the culinary field that marks itself as an integral part of the restaurant culture in Israel - the boutique hotel's chef cuisine.

Chef Dudu Biton

George & John restaurant's chef Tomer Tal will host six gatherings with chefs at the head of the best hotel restaurants in Israel, and together they will prepare a menu based on the connections between the two: Chef Uri Jerimias of the Uri Buri restaurant in the The Efendi Hotel in Acre will combine dishes inspired by the port city spirits of Acre and Jaffa. Chef Dudu Biton of La Régence restaurant in the King David Hotel in Jerusalem will be hosting and serving a 'kosher style' tasting menu, with combinations of advanced cooking techniques from both kitchens. Chef Barak Aharoni of Alena restaurant at the Norman Hotel in Tel Aviv will create a menu with the aromas of southern France. Chef Einav Azguri of the Café Nordoy restaurant at the Nordoy Hotel in Tel Aviv will combine local fish dishes alongside lamb dishes. Chef Moshiko Gamlieli of Bar 51 at the Renoma Hotel in Tel Aviv will highlight winter Balkan dishes.
