Israel's most famous dance company is proud to showcase the world premiere of "The Look" by Sharon Eyal alongside two unique works created by Ohad Naharin

“Nobody can hurt me without my permission” - Mahatma Gandhi

Gandhi's quote is the conceptual starting point of Sharon Eyal's new work for the Batsheva Dance Ensemble. The prolific Israeli dance choreographer Ohad Naharin invited Eyal to work with the Ensemble in his last season as the artistic director of the company, in light of his extraordinary and longstanding cooperation with Eyal, initially as a dancer, and now as a director.

Between the years of 2005-2012, Eyal was the home choreographer of Batsheva, creating 13 works for the company. At the end of this period, she set out on her own with her partner Guy Bachar. The two created many works for leading dance groups in Israel and abroad, which were praised by audiences and critics alike.

Her new work will be premiered by the Batsheva Ensemble - the young group in a joint evening with two well-known works from Naharin's canon: George and Zalman (2006) and Black Milk (1990).
