Rock out at Rabin Square (April 18, 20:45)
 
Because no holiday is complete without an overcrowded, over-kidded spectacle at Rabin Square. The best of the State's Hebrew songs and dances, entertainment segments, and video clips will be screened on huge screens in Kikar Rabin and fireworks will paint the night sky. Special guests include: Galit Giat, Raz Shmueli, 200 members from varying dance groups, and performances by Mayumana, Knesiyat Hasekhel, and finally, Danny Sanderson. During the festivities, the audience will also be invited  to sing "Hallelujah" alongside Israelis nationwide, which will be broadcast on live television.

The Independence Trail (April 19, 10:00-17:00)
Rothschild Blvd
 
Join your families, friends, neighbors, and fellow Zionists in a celebration of Israeli independence on Rothschild Blvd. This is much more than some average street party; the Independence Trail invites the public on guided historical tours in multiple languages ​​every half hour, a family quiz-style "Treasure Hunt," the re-enactment of the declaration ceremony on the boulevard where it all began, dancing, storytelling, and much, much more. Keep your eye out for historical figures roaming the area because you never know who you'll spot. The project is in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Jerusalem and Heritage
 
"We Hereby Declare" - history comes to life (April 18 & 19, starting at 20:30 and lasting into the night)
Rothschild Boulevard, from 1 Rothschild to Allenby St

A handful of buildings on Rothschild Boulevard, starting at Allenby Street, and reaching the Hagenah Museum and Independence House,  before touching the outskirts of Neve Tzedek will be brought to life through a visually stunning 3-D experience. The video-mapping project will use these buildings as their platform to bring spectators back in time to the inaugural days of the White City and help recount the rich history of the State (including the UN vote, the declaration of the State, the huge influx of Olim Chadashim, past and present). The celebrations will be held as a joint initiative taken by the Jerusalem Ministry and Heritage, "Milestones," the World Zionist Organization, the Zionist Council, and the Tel Aviv Municipality.
 
The March of Light (April 19, 19:30)
Through Namir Rd, from Rokach Blvd to Sha'ul HaMelech Blvd
 
As part of the Ministry of Culture and Sport events, a parade will stretch along 2.5 km with dozens of huge illuminated exhibits accompanied by music, dancers, and orchestras. Performances: Mayumana, Voca People, Einat Sarouf, Lee Biran, Eliana Tidhar, and more. And to end it all: A Beit Ariela party in the Plaza.
 
70 Years of Israeli Cinema at the Cinematheque
Tel Aviv Cinematheque, 2 Sprinzak St
 
A rich selection of Israeli classics, documentaries, and award-winning films. A marathon of short films, television series, artist talks, a panel on women in cinema in masculine roles, and a chance to choose "the best Tel Aviv film of all time." Details on the Cinematheque website. 
 
Independence Party in White (April 18, 20:00)
