The Shaon-Horef (Winter Noise) events, initiated by the Youth Events Department of the Jerusalem Municipality's Culture Department, will be held for the 8th year, offering a free look into Jerusalem's alternative culture. The events will kick off every week during the month of February in a different area in Jerusalem - from the city center through to the Old City to Talpiot.

The festival offers content from all areas of art and culture, including music, performance, dance, acting, plastic art, stand-up and more. The uniqueness of the Winter Noise Festival is the interaction that takes place with the urban surroundings, using surprising and unconventional use of the existing spaces and businesses.

The festival offers a rare opportunity to consume culture outside the box: a rock band in the lobby of a boutique hotel, story-telling in a hamburger joint, acoustic folk music in a church, performance in a kitchen showroom, hip hop in a garage, and much more. All is set in a vibrant street festival atmosphere with a unique Jerusalem vibe, accompanied by food and alcohol, art stalls and street performances, and free entrance for everything.
