1. Biscotti

Biscotti Bakery is pulling out all the stops this Shavuot, starting with the udderly addictive "Crack Pie Cheesecake" – a New York cheesecake (is there any other way?) glazed with ooey gooey rich caramel and sitting on a crack pie base (NIS 64/small, NIS 144/large). Of course, they're honoring the classic New York cheesecake as well (NIS 58/small, NIS 112/medium, NIS 168/large), and adding some color to the table with their take on the Red Velvet cake, including layers of red velvet raspberry cake, the creamiest of cream cheeses, and a touch of vanilla (NIS 64/small, NIS 122/large).

What better place to get your holiday cheesecakes than at your local, neighborhood Piece of Cake. This year, they've decided to stick it to tradition, but also combine the classics with a twist of flavors and ingredients. First up: Alfajores Cheesecake (NIS 98) – a combination of cream cheese and dulce de leche with a delicate white chocolate mousse and caramel cookie coating. They're also giving a nod to the States with their American Cheesecake (NIS 49.90), which sits on a caramel biscuit base and shines the spotlight on white chocolate ganache and sour cream. Other stars: Oreo Cheesecake (NIS 98) and a drool-worthy cream cheese, chocolate brownie cake (NIS 59.90)...enough said.

Aner Zalel and the Dalal Bakers are offering a combination of classics and originals this year – with a variety of salty and sweet pastries, breads (like their spring bread with honey, nuts, and raisins (NIS 26)), and most importantly, a magical selection of cheesecakes and cream cheese tarts. If you're looking for a new centerpiece to bring color to the dessert table, opt for the Ricotta Cranberry Cake (NIS 44), baked with a little yeast and a lot of love. Or if you're all about decadence, dig right into what can best be described as a cheesecake brownie "situation" (NIS 44).

As always, the no-fault bakery chain has an incredibly delectable cheesecake variety planned for Shavuot. The famous "Coffee Bar Cheesecake" (NIS 92) with its hints of vanilla, grated orange, and crispy pastry is absolutely scrumptious (we speak from experience), while the "Cheese Crunch" (NIS 42), a yeast dough filled with cheese and finished with streusel crumbles, is a gift from heaven. There's nothing like a little salty to balance that sweet, too. Indulge in Bakery's Parmesan Brioche (NIS 8 each) packed with herbs & spices and enough butter to clog an artery or two.
