Time Out says

In 1991 Hamama Market was founded in Israel. It has now become one of the leading spice and nut brands in the country.

The Hamama family started out in the Fertile Crescent region of Iraq, when the father began trading in spices and nuts. The ingredients of the Hamama family's spice mixes have remained a secret and the nuts are all roasted using traditional methods that preserve their high quality. Until now, the family’s business activities are intertwined with memories, love and respect for tradition, which are expressed in the design of the Sarona Market store. The store is designed with stone and natural wood to reconstruct the items that were part of the decorations and memories of their family business in Iraq.
