People of all ages, races, and religions around the world regard Jerusalem as a holy city - the Mekudeshet Festival, a month long series of events occurring around Jerusalem, seeks to celebrate and grapple with this reality. From mid-August to mid-September, there will be events throughout Jerusalem that feature international styles of art and music as well as interactive exhibits, all exploring the meaning of Jerusalem as a holy place. Despite cultural and religious divisions within the city, Mekudeshet celebrates the unifying power of sacrality in Jerusalem.
